МАРТ 21 The Strawberry Finns@Atelie Plastelin

Angelica: Can you hear the bells ringing? This room is so big and white. It’s empty, but the entire house is filled with white voices. My heart is a beating drum. Don’t kiss the cook, the thief, his wife and her lover.

Alexander: Love me gender, love me sweet. I am the cousin of the sun. There’s a delivery for you, Mrs. Robberts – it’s the head of your former lover. I’m chewing the world, gently. With no intention of becoming a shadow. No intention at all.

Alonso: My biggest enemy – the colour Blue has come to slaughter me. Oh, please save me. Please, hide me in a cupboard or bury me in the ground. Then I’ll grow and become an oak try where you and your lover could carve your initials.

Constantine: There is no now. There is no before. There is no after. There are no words. There is no language. There is no history. There is no future. There is no fear. There is no power. There is only Music.

We are The Strawberry Finns.
We do music/dance/freestyle poetry improvisation.
We might call our style an intersection of blues/jazz/electronic/psychedelic/indie/singer-songwriter/trip-hop/downtempo.
We don’t really care about labels.
We don’t really care if you’re black/white/yellow/bi/gay/straight/questioning/man/woman/trans/nonbinary/religious or not
just as long as you come over.

Let’s create а world together
No hate. Only Love. And glitter!

Richard III by W.Shakespeare 23 март 2019

Atelie Plastellin has the pleasure of inviting you to the premiere performances of "Richard III" by Shakespeare /. The performances are in English and are aimed at the growing English speaking audience in Sofia. The project is carried out with the financial support of the Culture Program of Sofia Municipality for 2018.
"Shakespeare in the Basement" is a series of performances featuring the works of the immortal bard, seen through the eyes of highly motivated nonprofessionals, but presented by professional actors in Plastellin. This is our second title after "Measure For Measure" performed by an ex-prisoner.
On 18.01 you will have the chance to see the story of the ruthless Richard, Duke of Gloucester, who eliminates all his rivals to become a king. It is played by two individuals who normally sell motor oil and car accessories, and whose business was ousted by the merciless competition. They decided to learn from their mistakes and enrolled in a marketing management course where they absorbed some unusual marketing strategies. One of their mentors advised them to be more aggressive and to put themselves in the shoes of some villain character from literature. This is how they came to know Richard.
The motor oil retailers will present their new marketing strategy using the play by Shakespeare as a guide, Richard as a mentor, and lots of empty plastic motor oil bottles as puppets to stand for more than 20 characters in the play!

Shakespeare In The Basement: Measure for Measure

"Atelie Plastelin" and "Subtheatre" are proud to present their new project "Shakespeare in the Basement" which offers fresh interpretations of plays by Shakespeare done in English by professionals but through the eyes and with the understanding of complete non-professionals. We dive in the minds of ordinary people who interpret the stories and build the characters in their own idiosyncratic way.

"Measure for measure"
Jelyazko ‘Ironman’ Totev is a probationer now, after serving a year in the Kasichene penitentiary. As part of his public service program, and following the social impact agenda he has committed to, he chose to put on stage “Measure for Measure” by William Shakespeare (being play about The Law), where he is a solo actor using puppets and objects. The production hasn’t been seen and approved by the probation officers, yet. You are kindly invited to be the audience at the very presentation in front of the commission!
Suitable for English speakers over 14.
